Buyer GuideBuyer’s Guide · Cross-Border Fulfillment
End-to-end sourcing support from inquiry to rebate: we front-load compliance, supplier verification, Incoterms, payment and inspection into the platform workflow to reduce cross-border uncertainty.
01
Define needs & pre-clear compliance
Lock down the application (energy storage, drone battery, industrial drone airframe), target market and certification thresholds. The platform auto-detects compliance items by country and category at the RFQ stage (e.g. EU battery passport / Battery Regulation / PPWR, US drone tariff, airworthiness), moving access risk to the inquiry phase.
02
Vet & verify suppliers
Pre-screen with the platform’s four-dimension score (product / display / marketing / assurance), star rating and certification tags (CE / UN38.3 / 3C). Prefer verified factories that declare the matching compliance capability, and request audit and third-party test reports.
03
RFQ & quotation
Post a structured RFQ on CellFlight (category, voltage/capacity, quantity, target country, certifications) to receive quotes plus a compliance-hit summary. Compare total value — lead time, warranty and compliance completeness — not just unit price.
04
Incoterms & logistics
Agree on Incoterms — EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP — whose responsibility and cost allocation differ greatly. Lithium cells / packs are Class 9 dangerous goods (UN3480/UN3481); shipment requires compliant packaging, labelling and a carrier licensed for dangerous goods.
05
Payment & settlement
Common methods: T/T (often deposit + balance against B/L copy) and sight L/C. For large orders, tie milestones to third-party inspection; keep contracts, proforma invoices and correspondence for dispute handling and export-rebate archives.
06
Inspection, clearance & after-sales
Arrange pre-shipment third-party inspection (qty, appearance, function, packing & labelling); track destination clearance docs (CI, PL, B/L, certificates / MSDS / UN38.3 summary); agree on warranty, spares and technical-support response.
Common risk flags
- Missing certification/compliance → destination rejection or detention
- Misread Incoterms → cost and liability disputes
- Non-compliant DG shipping → safety and legal risk
- FX exposure and excessive deposit → financial risk
